ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects

clarkehopkinclarkeClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects was established in 1961 as an architectural practice and has always had a strong focus and interest in the design of innovative educational facilities around Victoria.  The Practice’s continued involvement in school design has enabled us to develop a unique depth of experience and understanding which is a valuable resource on all projects we are involved in. Our perceptions of the needs of the future and understanding of the developing educational philosophies are reflected in an innovative approach to educational facility design.

The practice works with educationalists, teachers and the community to create schools that support and enable the development of strong communities of learners.  Each school design is the result identifying the specific requirements, goals and objectives for the project and working collaboratively to design facilities that achieve this.

ClarkeHopkinsClarke has recently completed the Pakenham Springs Primary School and Children’s Centre which was recognised as the Best Primary School at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development’s 2008 School Design Awards, as well as receiving the Victorian Chapter of CEFPI’s Award for Best Innovative Project.  The first stage of the redevelopment of Eltham Primary School was recognised with commendations at the 2008 School Design Awards and the 2008 Victorian Chapter of CEFPI awards.
